It's time to get growing!

For over three decades, PBS's Emmy Award-winning series The Victory Garden has been dedicated to giving viewers the confidence and inspiration to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. Premiering its 31st season in May 2006 (check local listings), only on PBS, The Victory Garden returns to offer viewers even more of the trusted gardening advice they've turned to for years, while offering up new and cutting edge information about the latest gardening trends, all guaranteed to get your garden growing.

Led by host and garden design expert Michael Weishan, the faces of The Victory Garden resident horticulturist and all-around gardening expert Kip Anderson, and beloved gardening correspondent Paul Epsom are back with tried and true, practical advice, sure to inspire gardeners of all levels. Lifestyle co-host Sissy Biggers returns for her second season, offering more delicious recipes designed to bring the garden to the table, and other creative ways to bring the outside indoors.

To kick off the season, The Victory Garden crew heads to sunny Georgia for some Southern hospitality, and some warm weather gardening tips straight from the Peach State. Then, we'll go behind the scenes at some of the country's most renowned garden shows, and take a look at some beautiful urban gardens, guaranteed to add a little green to any city dwelling. We'll even make over a community garden, showing you how to turn a neglected plot from drab to fab. Finally, we'll travel across the ocean to Ireland to explore all that's green in the Emerald Isle. All along the way, viewers will be introduced to some of the world's leading gardening experts, offering useful tips on all kinds of topics including plant varieties, equipment, and more.

This season will also bring back some blasts from the past. A series of special Victory Garden compilation episodes will pay tribute to our friends in New Orleans with a visit to Louisiana's French Quarter, and showcase some of our favorite segments.
